n3k, the network information management company, has today announced the release of their add-on module to Alcatel-Lucent’s VitalQIP software; authAD.

authAD is a mechanism to authenticate VitalQIP users against Microsoft Active Directory and will give the ability to reduce operational overhead in VitalQIP installations with large numbers of administrators or where security and accountability are important.

Julian Rigg, Managing Director at n3k said, “n3k recently won the Vital Partner and EMEA VitalQIP 10 Year Awards from the now Alcatel-Lucent.  I think that the time n3k has invested into creating an add-on module for VitalQIP shows both our knowledge and dedication to the product”. 

authAD is available as an option to existing n3k customers with valid support subscription.  authAD is currently available on a Solaris, Linux and Windows platform and it will currently work with VitalQIP v6.2.
